Coronavirus - additional update June 2020
Although the National Garden Scheme (NGS) has recently announced that gardens opening under the NGS scheme may start to re-open with significant restrictions in place, with sadness we have decided that we will not be opening the garden here at Langdale to visitors for the remainder of 2020. Having considered the guidance and the sorts of restrictions that would need to be in place, we do not feel we can open in a way that is safe for visitors, for us and for the wider village community in which we live. This applies (1) to all private groups visits booked to take place this year and (2) to the NGS Offenham Gardens Open Garden event which usually takes place in August but which will now NOT be going ahead.
We thank everyone who has visited the garden here at Langdale, enabling us to raise significant sums of money for charities and good causes, and we look forward to the day when we can welcome you here once more.
We will be posting photographs and short videos of how the garden looks through the year, so please do check back here from time to time to see how the garden is looking.
Stay well. With our very best wishes,
Sheila & Adrian.
